Arighi Bianchi, Macclesfield

With a 160-year old reputation built on the very highest standards of quality and service, it was important for a fourth generation family furniture business to demand the same from its flooring accessories supplier Interfloor.

Arighi Bianchi is a famous furniture store in the town of Macclesfield, Cheshire that was originally founded in 1854 by Italians Antonio Arighi and Antonio Bianchi who originated from a village on the shores of Lake Como. The impressive store, designed in the style of the famous Crystal Palace, is home to over 70,000 sq ft of space showcasing the very finest carpets, beds, sofas, dining and living room furniture, curtains, bed linen and accessories.

On the Arighi Bianchi team for 20 years, Neville Hinchliffe started managing the flooring department six years ago and set about finding an underlay supplier that would be a match for the highly respected retailer’s own quality and service offering.

Tredaire Ambience

“Interfloor’s Tredaire® Ambience with its high density offering a superb level of comfort was a perfect match for our core business, while Interfloor’s specialist underlays such as Duralay® Timbermate Excel and Tredaire® System 10 fitted the spread of our business,” explained Neville.

“They also offer great value which was a must to keep us competitive in today’s market.”

But that’s not all. Arighi Bianchi prides itself on the provenance of its products; where they are made, what they are made of and who makes them. This means that manufacturing and quality credentials are just as important as the price levels and service standards.

Interfloor’s British manufacturing heritage includes two of the UK’s oldest brands: Duralay® and Tredaire® which are both made to the very highest standards at its Lancashire site using top quality raw materials.

“We’re proud of our reputation as a great British manufacturer and our team is committed to making sure our customers are receiving the very best service and products on the market,” said Interfloor CEO John Cooper.

Just over a year ago, Arighi Bianchi added door plates and own label Gripperrods to their Interfloor package.

“It’s fantastic that when our carpets are being fitted, homeowners can see the quality of the products we use down to the smallest detail such as the Arighi Bianchi branded gripper which Interfloor also supplies.”

“Consolidating all our flooring accessories with Interfloor has made a big difference in terms of consistent quality and reliability of service. We get a weekly delivery and Interfloor goes the extra mile to make sure we have the right products at the right time, which is hugely important for us to maintain our own high standards of service,” said Neville.
