Designed to be buried within the sub-floor, our Decibel range is a permanent and high-performing acoustic solution for floor construction.

The Decibel range are designed to be used within the sub-floor, as an integrated & permanent acoustic solution, which isn’t affected by the choice of floor covering, or changes to floor coverings that may occur in the future.

How it Works

We have 30 years of experience with our Decibel range, which is integrated permanently in the subfloor to create what we call "Soundseal" construction. The Decibel mats are coated with screed which creates excellent acoustic improvements, providing a permanent solution to the main acoustic problems commonly associated with floors and floor construction, regardless of the primary floor coverings you choose, or changes to the floor coverings in the future.

The Decibel Soundseal system can be applied to many different subfloor constructions and underfloor heating.

Acoustic Problems

The acoustic problems normally found in floor structures are related to impact and airborne sound, and there are acoustic requirements that should be met when renovating or building new constructions. New and older structures present varied acoustic problems which are often difficult to resolve effectively. However, the balance between plastic and elastic qualities of the Decibel mats, combined with their high density, makes it custom-made for its acoustic mission.
